Chesley Cannon


Chesley Cannon is a Hawaii-based designer, animator and filmmaker. He is currently a resident designer for Honolulu Theatre for Youth where he designs sets, lights, puppets and projections; including those for Icarus Fights the Minotaur, Lono's Journey, and Call it Courage. Chesley has designed the sets for The Vengeful Sword, The Judith of Shimoda, and Macbeth, projections for Hamlet, and the cassowary puppet for When the Cassowary Pooped at the University of Hawaii - Manoa. He has also designed sets for the All the World's a Stage Theatre Company productions of Art, The Shape of Things, and Closer, and for five seasons at The Hawaii Shakespeare Festival. He holds an MFA in Design from the University of Hawaii, where he has taught theatre production.
